Why aren't we cycling in Britain and especially in Wolverhampton?
There are cities like Cambridge, York, Hull and Edinburgh and indeed London where more than 10% or over 20% of journeys are made by bike. The travel to work census returns from 2001 say at best 2.5% of journeys in Wolverhampton were done by bike. That's over 50 cars before you see another cyclist.
The number one reason here has to be fear of speeding traffic - be it real or perceived fear.
