WoWcc consultation response on the proposed Wolverhampton - Wednesfield - Willenhall - Walsall - Wednesbury tramway for Midlands Metro. If it ever gets built it will have a significant effect on cycling safety in the city centre and along Wednesfield Road.

This paper argues for the full integration of cycling as an equal mode of transport into the new Wolverhampton Transport Interchange. In the spring of 2008 the outline planning application is being compiled so the design is at a key stage. The paper concentrates on cycling routes to the station and on cycle parking including a Leicester-style Bike Park .

David Holman produced this report in 2003 for the RPC midlands second Bike Rail report [ where it is printed without the conclusions]. It shows typical provision for cyclists at stations in Bavaria, southern Germany. Often everything at a German station is fantastic except for access to the platforms.

The 2002 report on Bike - Rail integration in the Midlands from the Rail Passenger Council Midlands to which Wolves on Wheels made a big contribution. This introduces the problems of using a cyclie in conjunction with a train journey. No longer available from Passenger Focus [RPC's successor].
