Wolverhampton Bicycle Users' Group
Wolverhampton Bicycle Users Group is friendly, fun and open to cyclists of all abilities, experience and ages (if you are under 18 you must bring a parent or guardian to ride with you).
It is a networking group, linking cyclists with cyclists, promoting cycling for leisure and health. From the new or returning cyclist to the hardened pedaller with many miles under your tyres we hope to have a ride and companions for you. The emphasis is enjoyment and encouragement.
We welcome all, cycle campers able to devote a couple of days and a lot of energy, parents snatching an hour of 'me time' between school runs, families with tag-alongs and tandems, individuals looking for ride companions for conversation and confidence.
Loosing weight, finding friends, saving the planet, tempted by the National Cycle Network signs round the city, with rides starting at under 5 miles but also extending onwards and upwards to individual limits there really is no excuse not to give us a try.
As a real incentive why not sign up for our Ludlow Foodie Challenge (September)?
Initial membership is limited to 2 months during which time you must take part in 2 group rides. If you have participated responsibly and respectfully of other riders you will be invited to become a full member. There is a small membership fee. Wolves BUG takes it's aim of being a safe, encouraging and friendly community very seriously. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult and remain the responsibility of that adult at all times.
Wolves BUG is a sister organisation of Wolves on Wheels and is being developed and launched during 2008. The first ride took place on 30 March 2008.
