Campaign by UK cyclists to rid code of bad rules starts to pay off.

Pressure from cyclists and cycling organisations lead by the CTC has caused the Department for Transport to propose further changes to the rules for cyclists in the draft Highway Code. WoWcc members took part in this action - so thank you to all people who helped.

Revised draft of the Highway Code causes furore amongst cyclists.

 

11000 cyclists wrote to their MP's in February 2006 protesting about the proposed draft Highway Code. Now the revised draft is placed before Parliament for approval.

Cycle bypass fails to bypass roundabout

Love Your Bike. org http://www.loveyourbike.org is a collaboration between Manchester City Council and Manchester Friends of the Earth.
The site features some very good ideas, and nice opportunities to learn more about cycling in Manchester, this advert in particular caught my eye.
